''Let Me In'' follows the story of a young boy, Owen, who is a victim of bullying at school. Owen befriends his new neighbor, a mysterious young girl named Abby. Abby turns out to be a vampire and she exacts revenge on Owen's tormentors. 2008's ''Let the Right One In'' was based on a 2004 Swedish novel of the same name. ''Let Me In'' stars Kodi Smit-McPhee, Chloe Moretz, Richard Jenkins and Cara Buono. The movie was directed by Matt Reeves, who also wrote the screenplay. Reviews for ''Let Me In'' began to surface several days before the film was released. Overall, reviews were highly favorable. On September 30, 2010, ''Let Me In'' garnered an 86 percent "Fresh" rating on Rotten Tomatoes' "Tomatometer." The movie scored an 83 out of a possible 100 on Metacritic.com. Overall, critics praised director Michael Reeves' remake of ''Let the Right One In.'' Owen Gleiberman of Entertainment Weekly said that with ''Let Me In,'' Reeves not only remade the original "into a more fluid and visceral movie, he's made it more dangerous." Peter Debruge of Variety said "While all that is artful about Let Me In comes straight from the original, the Hollywood version commands respect for not dumbing things down."
